Dr. Mehdi Azaiez (Paris, 1974) is a Professor of Islamic Studies at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies at the Catholic University of Louvain (UCLouvain) in Belgium and a Visiting Professor at UNIFR (Fribourg, Switzerland). He is the author of books and articles mainly focused on Quranic Studies. In the past (2012-2013), he was an instructor in Islamic Studies and co-director of the international project « Qur’ân Seminar » (alongside Gabriel Said Reynolds) at the University of Notre Dame (Indiana, USA). He is a member of several learned societies such as the International Quranic Studies Association (IQSA) and the Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts (Bayt al Hikma).
