The University of Notre Dame at Tantur serves as a welcoming place in the Holy Land for visitors who come from all over the world to stay at this oasis of learning, community and hospitality.
Our facility has 50 guest rooms including both private and double rooms with either private or shared baths. In addition, we have ten fully equipped and furnished apartments for couples and families. Each room has its own balcony and there are many large verandas where guests can read, work, socialize, or enjoy the sunset. All guests eat their meals together in our large dining room where they enjoy three freshly-cooked meals per day. Coffee and tea are available at all hours in the coffee room. Recreational facilities include an exercise facility, a tennis court, and ping-pong room. Wifi is available in every room, and a PC computer room is also available for those not bringing their own laptops and personal devices.
We welcome groups and individuals from all walks of life including:
- teachers, students, and conference attendees
- spiritual sojourners of all faiths
- scholars, clergy, and members of all religious communities wishing to spend part or all of their sabbatical in the Holy Land
- university groups, church groups, organizations, and individual guests

The Tantur Ecumenical Institute offers a variety of continuing education programs and sabbatical programs for anyone seeking to encounter this complex land we call "holy." Each program includes a variety of lectures and excursions designed to introduce participants to its geography, history, complex religious life, local people and the Bible.
International Student Community
Local and international students enrolled in bachelors, masters, or doctoral programs are invited to be part of our residential community in Jerusalem near Bethlehem. The University of Notre Dame at Tantur welcomes students from all walks of life that are interested in living and engaging with a larger community that fosters Christian and interfaith dialog.
