Notre Dame International is now accepting applications for high school and undergraduate programs for international students:
Undergraduate Semester Abroad at Notre Dame
Are you an international undergraduate student? Do you want to spend a semester or academic year at Notre Dame? The University of Notre Dame invites exceptional international undergraduate students enrolled in universities around the world to study abroad at Notre Dame for a semester or an academic year.
The American Semester Abroad Program (ASAP) is a credit-bearing program that allows international students to take 12-18 credits per semester at the University. Students will receive an official Notre Dame transcript upon completion of the program.
Apply by March 15, 2017 for the academic year and fall semester.
High School Summer Programs
Spend two weeks in July on our beautiful Notre Dame campus! All international high school students age 15-17 are welcome to apply.
The International Leadership, Enrichment, and Development Program (iLED) is a two-week curriculum taught by Notre Dame faculty with a focus on international leadership. It includes lectures by professors, hands-on learning, collaborative projects, business and community engagement, and many extracurricular activities.
Students take courses at the College of Engineering, College of Science, Mendoza College of Business, College of Arts and Letters, and the School of Architecture. The program offers the best exposure to life at Notre Dame and broadens students’ understanding and knowledge on the disciplines of science, engineering, humanities, business, social sciences, arts, and architecture.
The International Summer Physics Institute (iSPI) is a two-week intensive science program on the most intense and cutting-edge science: particle physics. The program strengthens students’ existing knowledge of physics and supplements it with advanced knowledge to investigate questions in physics using particle physics data. For the experiments, students use real data from the Large Hadron Collider at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) laboratory in Switzerland. They assemble and test detectors in the laboratory to study cosmic rays and draw raw data from their particle physics experiments. Students also visit the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) outside of Chicago.
During both iLED and iSPI programs, students will have a chance to meet with representatives from Notre Dame’s undergraduate admissions office. A day trip to Chicago and numerous other fun activities will enrich the students’ experience.
The application deadline for both iLED and iSPI is April 30, 2017. $500.00 scholarships are available for either program; to be considered, students must submit their program application by February 20, 2017.
